Timefold is built and maintained by Geoffrey De Smet – the creator of OptaPlanner – and the core team behind it. We’ve been doing this for about 20 years, and the team’s now over 30 strong. That deep know-how didn’t disappear, it leveled up.

Red Hat has marked OptaPlanner End-of-Life. That means no guaranteed security updates, no releases, no new features, and no bug fixes. Why risk going for a deprecated technology, when there’s an actively maintained alternative that’s continuously innovating.
